Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large heirloom tomato
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- ½ cup Basil Mayonnaise
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- PREPARE TOMATO: Core the heirloom tomatoes and slice into ½ inch rounds.
- TOAST BREAD: Lightly toast the sourdough bread until crusty but not too golden brown.
- ASSEMBLE: Generously spread each piece of bread with half of the Basil Mayonnaise and then layer on 2-3 slices of tomato to cover the bread. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
